South Boulevard wanted to know all the details of this brand that is presented "wanting to change the world, or at least teach the consumer that another fashion is possible, showing more human and respectful alternatives throughout the production chain".In 2017 with SIN + they received the prize for the best green business idea awarded by the Biodiversity Foundation and in 2018 the Business Project Award with the greatest social impact awarded by Action against Hunger.

Rosa is a graphic designer but her great passion since she was little has been fashion.Using "Upciclyng" techniques created the children.., and transformed them into dresses, skirts, etc..., with some added value (skirts carried.Adeli is public relations and has worked in different administrative areas of different companies. In 2015 he organized in Seville Slow Fashion, a showroom of different brands to make known what meaning that term that began to look for a hole in our cabinets in our cabinets.

How and when did the idea of creating Sin +arise?

In 2016 we observed that there were more and more people with skin problems, eczema, atopic skin, psoriasis ... and also that fashion consumption was increasingly compulsive and irrational. It is purchased by buying, without measuring the real need.We study the fashion market and believed interesting and necessary to offer the consumer a more ethical and ecological option in inner fashion. The textile industry is one of the most polluting and with worse working conditions. We thought it was a beautiful way to create our own means of life and at the same time we contributed value to that industry.

We wanted to work with organic fabrics, but it wasn't just that, we had to contribute much more ....It was then that we discovered Occhiena, a central ethical fashion, where they offer training and employment to women at risk of social exclusion, and we were clear, from the beginning it has been our clothing workshop.

But, not everything ends here, we also had to think about how to finish the purchase with the consumer. We could not finish the process by giving the client a plastic bag, so our packaging also makes a difference. We deliver each of our garments inside a biodegradable coconut pot along with a card of our plantable brand, from there the flower of chia or chamomile will grow.

What are the main challenges to undertake and do it in a sustainable and ethical fashion business?

Like any business, entrepreneurs face many challenges that make it difficult to move forward with own and limited resources, since it is difficult to obtain financial aid by administrations. If, we also add that our market niche is emerging makes everything complicate much more, from the search for suppliers to the final call to the consumer.

It is difficult to understand that being Andalusia one of the largest organic cotton producers, we have to leave Spain in search of suppliers, being the same mainly of Germany, since here we do not find factories that transform cotton into such colorful fabrics how we offerWith our brand.

On the other hand, it is difficult to make the consumer see that it is not possiblethink that it is ridiculous to follow this wheel of unstoppable collections throughout the year.We believe in a timeless fashion, we believe that it is a nonsense.

Why did you launch with intimate fashion in Sin +?

Analyzing the market we saw that more and more clothing brands were offered in their philosophy ethics and sustainability, however we do not observe many brands of intimate clothing and, above all, that they offered color in their prints.Since those that we located in the market used the natural colors of cotton.

We, on the other hand and thanks to the low impact dyes that our suppliers use, we fill the intimate and ecological world with color. We also opted for intimate fashion because it is the first option with which we believe that the consumer has to start changing in their purchase habits.Your fabrics maintain direct contact with the most intimate parts of our skin.Conventional cotton contains a lot of pesticides, fertilizers and different chemicals and the skin absorbs them causing different skin problems and even different types of diseases of a diverse nature.

How have you found the sustainable and ecological intimate fashion sector at your arrival?

Our vision was that, in general, there was a great ignorance and even mocked for this change that we proposed.Who will spend a little more on dressing intimately if there is the possibility of continuing to consume as until now? However, we try to show the consumer the reasons why change these habits. In many cases and due to poor tissue quality, durability is much lower than ours.We have been in the market since 2016 and we still still wear garments from our first collection ... Therefore, savings is not such.It was also complicated (and continues to occur) to find suppliers that give us the real value we want, we no longer only talk about tissues, but about labels, tiptoe, elastic, etc..

How are your collections born?

Our collections are born when they are born ....hahahaha, we mean that we are not part of the fashion current, we have a totally different rhythm. We carry out prototypes and when after the long process that this entails we see that they are ready to introduce them into the market, we take out the collection, regardless of stations, dates, etc ... Really, January panties or underwear must be very different in theirdesigns to March or April? So we ask that you are very aware of our social networks because we will always inform our news there. Our new collection is called "Noah Long Life" because we want, that the garments are lasting in time.

How has it growing without +?

For a brand like us, I think growth will not be palpable for the consumer until several years pass. However, we have learned a lot during all this time. When conducting market studies, we have detected which are the most ecological countries, their trends, etc..., and we have discovered a magical and wonderful world in everything that surrounds the preparation of intimate garments. We carry out prototypes that carry a complex study so that everything is perfect.

The greatest of the growth of Sin + facing outside, undoubtedly has been the creation of our e-commerce that we released on June 8, 2019.We are very happy with the result, and in the coming weeks we will also have the English version.

You work panties, slips and boxer for men, women, boys and girls. When will it be the turn of the fasteners and what ideas of the future do you have without+?

We are currently carrying out prototypes of children. We find that girls and adolescents have enough problems when finding that comfort they need when they start using this intimate garment, unknown until then for them. And if we talk about finding an ecological and ethical children.Later, of course, that we want to start working on fasteners for adult women, but it is still complicated by the different types of cup that are used.

We want to accompany the consumer in our development as a brand and in its development as a more conscious consumer, which will be open to the proposals that they may have for us, but for the moment our main idea is to gradually incorporate new modelsof intimate clothing and start designing and making comfortable clothes to be at home (pajamas, t -shirts, shorts ...) but all little by little, that we are "slow fashion" ("Slow fashion").

What has been the response of your first customers? What have you been learning?

We premiered as a brand in bioculture in Madrid and later in Momad Madrid. We learned, above all, that our audience is outside our borders, but we believe that it is for cultural matter and as we are very constant we are still determined to make the consumer known the importance of their purchases. The acceptance of our products was greater than expected, the public hallucinated with the quality of the fabrics, the comfort, the color and the preparation of the garments. We will also be a tiny brand in a world of giants, but they all told us that they had never seen stamped as cool as ours.

What does Ochiena have that has convinced you as a workshop for your brand without + underwear?

First, your vision.Train and use women at risk of social exclusion. The three thousand homes is one of the poorest neighborhoods in Spain and for many women in this area of Seville, it has meant a salvation table in the middle of a sea full of sharks. On the other hand, and it is true that we are still a company and we must be competitive as such in addition to contributing our added value. Our garments are made with such care and detail that it is a luxury, and all this we owe it to Lola Galeano, head of workshop that makes everything that falls into their hands becomes the reality that you had dreamed.

Why is organic cotton the best option for intimate clothing in your opinion?

It is not a matter of opinion but of reality.Conventional cotton crops ("natural") receive 25% of insecticides used worldwide and 10% of pesticides, with the consequent harmful effect on the land itself, groundwater, farmers and the product final.WHO estimates that more than 28 dies annually.000 farmers in these cultivation fields due to the high toxicity of some of the products used.In addition, conventional cotton is bleached using a large number of toxic compounds and heavy metals that end up affecting workers.

In the cultivation of organic cotton, insecticides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers are not used, the natural cycles of the Earth are favored and toxic substances are not used in the spinning and production processes. So simple.Organic cotton presents important benefits for producers, who avoid inhalation and contact with toxic, benefits for the environment, because the land or groundwater and benefits for the end user is not contaminated, because in the end this cotton is incontact with our skin and in this way we move away from all the toxic chemicals that conventional cotton carries.

Is perhaps the price (relatively high when comparing it with non -ethical low cost brands) your main handicap to be competitive?

This is true, as we have commented before, sometimes, the consumer believes that he is buying much cheaper if he does in the stores that we all know. That is why it is very important to disseminate, not just sell.Publicize the reality of the textile industry, the low cost, which we must all wear the same as sheep, buy by buying. All this will make the consumer final.

Your first sales have been among acquaintances, through mouth to mouth ... How are those first customers who arrive at Sin +?What worries them?

As we have commented on our first sales were in bioculture madrid. There the philosophy of "Slow Fashion" is more widespread than in Andalusia and by offering the consumer a color product full of color was a success. Those consumers who come to ethical fashion do so for health reasons and once they prove our fabrics, they end up repeating and recommending it to their friends. And every time, luckily, there are more people worried about "who made my clothes", where the fabrics that I am going to use, if there is children's workforce in production, etc ...

In addition to the web, where can you find without +?

In our social networks, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter.Currently, we are working with two ecological fashion platforms and we hope to be present in them in the coming months. We also have contacts with different distributors inside and outside Spain. We want to participate in some national and international ecological fairs ...
