Unprecedented opening of a well-known Mormon temple

Those present toured the facilities in the company of Elder Benjamín de Hoyos along with his wife Evelia Genesta Mendivil.

They guided and explained every detail of the temple facilities.

The temple building has 1,106 square meters built and it should be noted that the gardens have flowers and trees native to our country. Its height is 21.75 meters and it is crowned by the golden statue of the prophet Moroni, which is very significant for the faithful of this church.

Benjamín de Hoyos led the guided tour, which began in the courtyard, where he explained the importance of the statue and explained that the arrangement of flowers and plants was arranged in order to generate calm and peace in people.

Then the tour of the interior of the temple began, passing through a living room, and then moving on to the main entrance sector.

Later, it was possible to see the halls for men and women, since, according to Hoyos, in all their ordinances and agreements (their celebrations), they dress in white clothing, as a symbol of human equality.

In this way, it was also possible to enter the three halls, those of instruction and the heavenly one, in the first ones the faithful are instructed.

In the first instruction room, it stands out that the rear walls present a realistic painting of the Iguazú Falls and native trees of Paraguay.

The tour continued to the sealing room, where marriages are celebrated, where men and women kneel facing each other and swear eternal love, a love that goes beyond death, Hoyos mentioned.

The "Baptistery" also stands out, which is made up of a pool whose base is about 12 cement bulls, representing the 12 Tribes of Israel.

The elder explained that believers can be baptized on behalf of their ancestors who have already passed away.

Lastly, the “Bridal Room” drew attention, where the young women who will get married prepare themselves before entering the sealing rooms.

Opening

The temple will be open to the public from October 12 to 19. It is located on the corner of Brasilia and Avenida España, 1441.

The hours will be as follows: Monday to Wednesday from 12:00 to 20:00, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 to 21:00, finally, Saturdays from 07:00 to 21:00.

It is pointed out that after the construction or remodeling of the temple, the general public is invited to be part of the open doors program.

This happens before the rededication takes place, which will be on November 3.
