Izumi Tamasiro and Image Advice: "In Córdoba, women are all the same"

"The clothes speak for us without us to introduce ourselves, and that is why we have to take care of what we are transmitting and what we want to communicate," summarizes Izumi Tamasiro.

Izumi was born 27 years ago in Córdoba and since Chiquita knew that her passion was in her clothes. When she finished school, she studied clothing design, although she didn't finish finding himself in that place.

"I received myself and took a one -year recreation to work and see what I wanted. During that year I was not me at all, or from what I bought, what I put on or how I felt," he says. Then, she discovered the image advice career. From that moment, Izumi knew what was the way she was going to take her love for clothing.

From there, it was to continue training, do courses, read a lot and investigate. And until today, she every day does the job of investigating, looking for information, keeping aware that it happens in the world of clothing and dedicating many hours to her Instagram.

“I think you have to read and observe a lot and create one's theories. For example, with Carolina Aubele (Argentine Image Advisor) I have many things in common and others not.Personally, the human side more than aesthetic prioritize, ”she says.

"Image advice is a tool to discover who we are, enhance and communicate it through what we wear," summarizes Izumi.

Izumi explains that it is normal not to know exactly what the style is itself.“It is a matter of searching, testing and error. Most people don't know, ”she says.

But, he explains that clothes are normally communicated as something "frivolous" and that its importance is not assumed.“You have to express what you are, as you are.It is not the same to go to an interview by feeling you, feeling comfortable with the shirt you have, to go with something you are not happy, because that way you will not give your 100%, ”she says.

"Many times, people tell me that I did not believe that I was dressed as on my Instagram, but yes, this is me, all the time," he laughs."My style is quite formal and that does not go so much here, but the important thing is to be able to express ourselves," Meditates Izumi.

Romper con los prejuicios

The clothes that are used and the looks on it are full of "prejudices", some socially clear, other inmates, says Izumi.

The image advisor comments that in Córdoba women are "very uniformed."“We are all very the same.It is not bad, but it is interesting to analyze why, ”she explains. She clarifies: "Nor is it bad to put on what we saw in a stained glass window, but it is good to ask, I am this?"

"In addition, we have that terrible prejudice that you always have to have new clothes," he laments.Izumi always recommends recycling and supports second -hand clothing markets, very little extended in Córdoba.

Izumi Tamasiro y la asesoría de imagen:

He affirms that when taking care of clothes and recycling garments, a contribution is made to the pocket, to the environment and contributes not to accumulate.

Izumi believes that it is these prejudices and preconcepts that many times to imitate and not to be the ones who really want to be.

“We think they will not accept us in a certain group if we are as we are, if we dress as we are. That you have to dress in one way for the FACU, on the other for work, from another with friends. Most of the time, that thought is alone in our head, ”she says.

“I have a collection capsule of hats with a traditional hats house in Córdoba, and my clients tell me that they buy them ... but only to go on vacation, because they are not encouraged to use them here.It is a pity that we do not feel comfortable to dress as we want all the time, ”she says.

Another problem that their clients approach is how many times end up wearing the same garments and the same combinations.

“You have to try, dedicate a little more time and build different looks.I love to give that time, it's such a pretty activity! ”

It is dedicating time to oneself."Many clients who have been mothers tell me that they now realize that they did not have time for themselves, that they now have it and that they want to devote that time to this, to be comfortable with their looks and discover their style."

“It is also good when we automatically criticize someone, stop a second and think why we feel that way.Is it because I want something that the other has? ”Expms Izumi.

Herencia japonesa

Izumi is third generation of descendants of Japanese and its name means "water source."Her love for her clothes born with her relationship with her mother."She loves clothes and since she was a child, she accompanied her to see and buy, there I learned to choose by looking at me not only in taste but also in the calce and the preparation of the garment."

Behind his professional work and his impeccable Instagram there is a lot of his own effort and also a support network and family love."I assemble the looks and submit them to evaluation with my family, as I do later when I have the photos," she says. Her boyfriend is the one who makes most of her Instagram's photos, based on aesthetic sense and work.

But his relationship with his mother is privileged."She is my muse and my creative director, although in doubt, she always tells me: she conflicts in your instinct, Izumi."

Like any relationship of mother and daughter, both share garments and impressions of their purchases."Sometimes I don't like clothes I bought and then I understand why she chose that garment ... and I end up using it for my looks," she laughs.

He has a brother and four sisters."With them I learned how to teach, how to convey what I wanted," she recalls. They were the "pilot tests" of her.Today he returns that time helping them when they have an event."They also make the makeup and combs them," she says.

Her history and Japanese blood influenced her beyond what she thought."I was lucky to travel to Japan and there I understood many things about me that I did not know where they came from," she tells her about her relationship with the particular aesthetics and sense of the fashion of the great Asian country. For example, she explains that she loves using garments that are covered, very in the style of Japanese girls.

Una relación terapéutica

Izumi has two work modalities: on the one hand the workshops, and on the other a more personalized process with clients particularly.

“The workshops are to talk more general concepts than each one can apply. We bring garments, we chat, we have a coffee like between friends, ”she explains.

In contrast, the personal process with a client is different, he says: “First contact me, we have an interview to meet and feel comfortable with me.It's very important".

Then the process begins."It's very fine, to unravel threads to see what is behind that person," she explains and adds: "It's a bit therapy."

“Most of the time they know what they like but they don't know how they are going with them, so you have to look for ways to adapt it.Everything is adaptable, ”she says.

“You also have to see why they don't use what they want to use. Many times we think we do not deserve it, that we do not deserve to see each other how we really want to dress, ”she says.

“What I like is to help, image advice is only the form of that help.I love to see how energy changes. They come to the first uncomfortable interview, even hunched over, and they go sure, with another brightness, happy. ”

Izumi seeks to convey all that knowledge and good energy also in his networks, to which he is very careful. The process of taking photos and selecting them is long, and the texts are corrected and rearmed by a professional editor. She organizes her posts with the hashtags #izulooks and #izutips.

Before the question of some anecdote of his work, let his gaze wander away and remember one that stands out among all.“She was a very safe woman, very well positioned professionally, with power. But the surprise came after some interviews, when I went to her house. ”

Izumi explains that I couldn't even open the door.“She was full of clothes! She was accumulative and I did not know until that moment. ”There she realized that the work to be done was much deeper than she had imagined. She "found up to three pairs of the same unused shoes that she had bought several times."

"I always wonder how it is possible that such a strong and brilliant woman, so successful, would keep that surprise behind."The story has a happy ending, after many meetings, they could meet the relationship of the client with the clothes.

"Those are emotional purchases, at the time they do us well but nothing more," explains Izumi.

"The process with each client is unique ... some take longer and others less, it is impossible to say it.Changes need time to be real, it is not a reality type where you can make a complete change from one day to the other. That does not last, you have to internalize them, ”she says.
