The Wimbledon organization has canceled sixteen matches this Monday due to the rain, including the one between Feliciano López against the British Dan Evans and the one that was going to face Pablo Andújar and the Frenchman Pierre-Hugues Herbet.

Mixed fortunes for the Roland Garros finalists. Novak Djokovic came back from the opening set in his debut against Jack Draper. Tsitsipas lost 6-4, 6-4, 6-3 to Tiafoe. Muguruza, for his part, surpassed Fiona Ferro in 50 minutes, with a resounding 6-0 and 6-1.

In this way, the Wimbledon organization welcomed the most particular tournament of the year. A tournament in which Novak Djokovic will try to achieve his 20th Grand Slam, thus equaling Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, with what would also be his sixth title on grass at the All England Tennis Club.

London surrenders to Murray

Murray returned to Wimbledon four years later and did so with a great win over Basilashvili. He needed four match balls to reach the second round before a devoted audience at the All England. His rival in the second round will be the winner of the Otte-Rinderknech.

Cancelled due to lack of electricity

Only the match between Murray and Basilashvili on center court remains. Among the matches that have not ended due to lack of light is the duel between Fognini and Ramos, which the Italian dominates 7-6, 6-2.

Tsitsipas: "My lack of matches on grass was crucial"

Davidovich lost in five sets

The man from Malaga couldn't stand Kudla's arreón, who was superior to Davidovich in the last two sets. After reaching the quarterfinals in Paris, he says goodbye to Wimbledon in the first round.

"It has been very emotional to return after two years. Everything was silent, there were no flags, no music... I felt very happy to be back, it's been a nice feeling", said Muguruza after getting rid of the French Fiona Ferro (6-0, 6-1).

Murray returns four years later

Double Wimbledon champion Andy Murray is encouraged by his performances in training and believes he can succeed in London if his body doesn't let him down. Murray has a 57-11 record in grass-court Grand Slams, winning the title in 2013 and 2016. He debuts against Basilashvili.
