A young woman in a massive leak from a Youth Detention Center in Bogotá

La Escuela de Formación Integral El Redentor, es un centro especializado en el que permanecen cientos de jóvenes condenados por diferentes delitos en Bogotá. En la actualidad, 168 jóvenes cumplen sus medidas preventivas en este lugar; pero en la noche del domingo 31 de octubre, varios de ellos intentaron escapar y uno de los jóvenes resultó muerto en la redada.

Nosotros lo solicitamos, pero nos dijeron que supuestamente en el lugar no hay cámaras”.

Además, otros familiares de menores recluidos hablaron con RTVC y señalaron que, al parecer, más de dos menores resultaron heridos, pero a estos los tienen en los calabozos.This was pointed out by a mother of a young man who, according to her, has fractured a foot, but they do not allow it to see or move it to a medical center.

Por ahora, las autoridades han señalado que se desplegaron los operativos para dar con los jóvenes que escaparon y, de la misma forma, la investigación para establecer las responsabilidades y sanciones a los detenidos.
