Polish fashion chain 'low cost' Pepco opens new shops in Elche, Finestrat and Orihuela

Orihuela. The Polish chain of clothing and home Pepco, which chose the cities of Alicante and Castellón in spring as the first to land in Spain, continues to open new shops in the province of Alicante. Thus, the Polish firm has new openings in Elche-at the Sauce de la Avinguda shopping Centre in Crevilent-in Finestrat-in retail Park La Cala-and in Orihuela, in the shopping centre of Leispia. Pepco offers fashion for the whole family at low prices, as well as a wide range of household products also at economic prices.

The opening in the city is framed in the commercial complex El sauce, where Carrefour is located and shops such as MediaMarkt or Kiwoko. In this case, the opening was at the end of May has found its place in this enclave for large shops and where there are also competitors of "low cost" decoration products such as the French Gifi or the Danish Jysk. The city was already in the spotlight of Pepco in Spain, Piotr Kokocinski, at the beginning of his landing in the country.

In Orihuela, the opening is scheduled for August 17 at the leisure shopping center. This enclave, in spite of the pandemic, has been experiencing a drip of new additions to its space, either from the retail sector, as in food or restoration. In June 2020, in the respite after the first confinement by the pandemic they opened Soloptical and Mercadona. Already in December last year they opened Dolcetella, a place to enjoy sweets; the fashion and footwear company RKS and a parapharmacy. In 2021, they opened new shops in February, when they arrived in Ociopia Belmon, a shoe store. Finally, before Pepco's recent arrival in May, they opened the Jijonenca restoration points and the Mexican food truck "what a Father!"

The arrival of Pepco at the Comercial Park of Finestrat La Cala, in the surroundings of the La Marina and Carrefour shopping Centre, MediaMarkt, Mercadona or Decathlon. The opening was July 13th. Over the past year, both the Park and the shopping center "have witnessed a great investment to improve the experience of visitors and to improve the profile not only of the Centers but also of the community of Finestrat and the surrounding area through full rebranding, new collaborations with local companies and initiatives and of course the renovation of much of the facilities and shops".

The aim of the Polish company is to reach 10 points of sale by September. After the first opening in Alicante Pepco opened in Castellón at the end of May, and also later in the province of Valencia, specifically in Alfafar, Sagunt and Xàtiva. In Alicante there are more shops in the capital, and there are already the shops of Elche, Finestrat and Orihuela. They also want to create 100 jobs for their shops.

Pepco, still little known in our country having recently begun its entry into the Mediterranean (opened in Italy a year ago) is considered the largest and fastest growing non-food retail company in Europe. The firm currently has more than 2,200 shops in Europe and its range of products includes clothing for children, women and men, as well as accessories, toys, decoration, textiles or household items. Fashion (which includes shoes and underwear) accounts for 60% of the chain's offer and the remaining 40% is made up of home products and decoration.
