The Territorial Delegate of Tourism of the Board in Huelva, María Ángeles Muriel, highlighted this morning “the quality of the beaches of Huelva to boost the tourist brand of the province and reactivate the sector after the crisis that has caused the pandemic of the Coronavirus”.

Muriel has visited the town of Lepe this morning, which has recovered the blue flag for his beach in Santa Pura, so he has congratulated the mayor of the municipality, Juan Manuel González Camacho.“This consideration will be an impulse to the tourist destination to continue being a preferential place for visitors.Our beaches are prepared again for another year and that is thanks to the coordinated work that is done by the administrations, ”said the delegate.

This year the province of Huelva has 16 blue flags, a figure that "is a significant increase in recognition both to the beaches and our sports ports, categories in which we have obtained two and a more respectively distinction".

The territorial head has stressed “the work that has been done since the Ministry led by Juan Marín to improve in these recognitions since we arrived at the Government of the Junta de Andalucía, thanks to which we have doubled these blue flags because we have passed 8 in2019 at 16 this year, ”he said.

In this regard, he has recognized the effort that the municipalities are making to face the summer season and recalled that from the Ministry the aids for the environmental recovery and sustainable use of the coastline and that in thePrevious call were almost two million for the province of Huelva and 500.000 euros to the town of Lepe to perform actions on its beaches.

"It is still essential that this summer again our coast shows a safe destination image, as it has always done," therefore, these items, destined to the recovery and sustainability of our beaches, "will also attend to investments for security andHealth, ”Muriel has detailed.

Among the concepts that will be subsidized with these grants, are those actions that implement the coastal local entities linked to the cleaning, hygiene and security of the coast, or with the acquisition of movable property destined to improve the security of thesezones.
