A British startup has managed to create a line of underwear that you can wear for days without smelling bad

Finally, there's some good news for those of you who hate showering or don't do it very often.

A London company has created a brand of underwear that doesn't smell bad even if you wear it for several weeks in a row, according to the newspaper La Razón.

The British startup BeClothed has managed to manufacture a fabric capable of exterminating bacteria that cause bad odors.

The key is in the silver compound that covers the fabric, since when a bacterium collides with it, its cell wall breaks, leaving it inactive and unable to feed on the person's sweat.

But that's not all, BeClothed wanted to create a sustainable product that favors the environment.

In what way? These undergarments help reduce water and energy consumption by having to wash them less frequently in the washing machine.

"Our mission is to reinvent the relationship we have with clothing on a daily basis," the startup explained during its crowdfunding campaign. "We wanted it to be good for you, but also for the world."

With the support of more than 1,300 backers, this startup has managed to make its clothing line not only available for men, but also for women.

Clothes ranging from briefs and panties, to socks and T-shirts in sober colors and practical and comfortable designs for everyday use.

In addition, its material is made so that it does not leave unwanted marks on the skin and they have a wide range of sizes for all types of bodies.

"Cotton is very light and durable, so as a result comfort and quality are guaranteed with each use", comment from BeClothed. "Our products are made from some of the best materials and are intentionally designed to last for years."

It should be noted that this is not the first time that a startup has had these types of ideas, but in 2019 the company Organics Basics launched a line of clothing that only needed to be washed a few times a month.

Inspired by NASA's use of silver as an antimicrobial metal to purify water for astronauts, these young entrepreneurs decided to transfer that method to the textile world with great success.
