Miriam Saiz never had clear his vocation, so, near the end of the university and animated by friends advice, he decided to try his luck as a model.A year later it is Givenchy's image, has paraded for Dior or Hermés and has fulfilled the dream of doing it at the foot of the Eiffel Tower for Yves Saint Laurent.
"I have never known what I wanted to be.My mother and some friends encouraged me many times to try luck as a model, but I always passed.Until I saw that the time to finish the race was approaching and decide what to do with my life, "explains the top Madrid Miriam Saiz to Efe in an interview about her brilliant career.
Saiz, twenty -two years and peeling the precipice of uncertainty after his university studies, questioned one day if he really had to listen to the advice of his circle.
"I realized that my career liked it, but it was not what I was most passionate about, I had to try to dedicate myself to something else if it was possible".
The path of this profession was then illuminated by the fashion editor David Alarcón, with whom he went to the institute years ago, although in different classes."I knew that David was a fashion editor and I knew a lot, I stayed with him and told me outstanding agencies.".
Then the model tried luck in one Models, who signed the Madrid and thus marked a turning point.
"I thought I would do some sporadic work, I did not go with expectations or short -term results.They started moving out at the beginning of this year, and in March Givenchy called me to meet me, "he points out about the firm and its creative, Matthew Williams, pledge of the nineteenth -century beauty of Saiz, who now also signs for his campaign image.

"When I started knowing fashion.

"It is better not to go with anything expectations.If you take a good job, you do it and enjoy it.If you go all the time thinking about what you want."I'm starting, so it's advice that I still can't apply at all," he jokes.
Loneliness also frames the day to day in the model profession, crowded with inclement trips and schedules, and although it does not consider at the moment to set its residence outside of Spain, it does look straight ahead that loneliness sometimes on occasion.
"I started in pandemia and there was a look of curb, I spent a lot of time alone.Now I know models with whom to leave when I am out of Spain, I carry it better ".
He acknowledges that what he enjoys is the catwalk, "with other models, a lot.
"They tell me that I have Asian and androgynous features, I think they are two physical points that attract attention," he reflects.
In the future, it is proposed to continue studying, "probably a master's degree", although it is clear about the rhythms of fashion.
"When it's work season, day to day is intense, you don't know how long you will be out.So at the moment I cannot dedicate myself to anything else, "says Saiz, enjoying a vocation that, unlike many stories, has gone behind her until she found her.
