Japan: Men and women comment on their favorite color of underwear

The Japanese portal Yahoo! News Japan shared an article with the results of a survey conducted in Japan by an underwear manufacturing company, in which men and women were asked what their favorite color of women's underwear is. The results also included some individual opinions from the respondents.

"According to the results of a survey conducted by the Osaka City MARUKO Co., Ltd., which sells women's underwear, black was the most popular color among women, while white was the most popular among the men. The company surveyed 800 people between the ages of 20 and 59 throughout the country, between September 16 and 17, through an Internet questionnaire (100 people of each sex were distributed equally).”

“In the case of women, 53.3 percent chose the color black, 37.3 percent pink, and 28.8 percent white. On the other hand, 48.3 percent of men chose white, 39.3 percent black, and 32.0 percent pink. Black underwear was popular with women for its practicality (it goes with any other color) and white was popular with men for its clean image. The preference for the color of underwear differs between men and women.

«Regarding the individual opinions of some women, they wrote: “Pink underwear with flowers embroidered on the top and bottom” (42 years old); 'Nice lace underwear that feels good against the skin' (29 years old); “A black ensemble, mostly lace. My skin is relatively white, so I want it to look good” (29 years old); "Something white and simple" (51 years old); and “Something that is pretty and sexy and that makes you feel confident when you wear it” (30 years old). On the other hand, men had the following preferences: “High-brand red underwear” (26 years old); “Black panties” (28 years old); "Underwear that my wife likes best" (48 years old); “Something with a striking pattern” (58 years old); and “Bright Red Panties (29 Years)”».
