A passenger aboard a flight from Delta Airlines from Dublin to New York JFK was accused of assaulting the cabin crew after a disturbance related to the COVID-19.

Shane Mcinerney, identified in a criminal complaint not sealed on Friday, was arrested after landing in New York last month and presented to the Federal Brooklyn Court.

It occurs after, according to the criminal complaint, Mcinerney was involved in an altercation on board with his flight companions and the cabin crew after refusing to carry covers, "although he was asked for dozens of times".

In addition to violating Delta Airlines about the use of cover on board the flights, Mcinerney launched a passenger "an empty drink can", who complained about his food.
