2021 winter campaign kicks off: Hugging coats

The Municipal Government, through the DIF, in coordination with the volunteer group in charge of the same agency, announced the start of the campaign: "Coats that Embrace", which will have as objective the collection of jackets , thermal clothing and socks for girls, boys and adolescents from one to 16 years.

“This type of action is not limited to the material exercise of donation, but rather has as its fund the care of our childhoods, attention to vulnerable children, the reduction, or even better, the eradication of child deaths from hypothermia”, said Karina Olivas, president of the Municipal DIF, who in turn invited not only the public, but also businessmen, civil associations, and public and private schools to show solidarity with this campaign.

The head of the Directorate of Human Development and Education, Mónica Herrera, highlighted the importance of the commitment that there is with the people of Chihuahua this winter season, for which she informed that they are already working with seven schools, which are used as centers of gathering.

The collection of jackets and thermal clothing will take place from October 26 to November 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., in the following collection centers:

Tricentennial Sports Center, Avenida Homero 330, Complejo Indusrtial

Municipal DIF, Carbonel street 4106, San Felipe V Stage

Human Development and Education Office, Ojinaga 300 street, Downtown area

Comandancia Sur, avenida Pacheco s/n, 2 de Octubre

It is important to note that the thermal clothing and socks to be donated must be new, and, in the case of jackets, they may be new or used in excellent condition, as long as they are delivered clean.
